The Maybelline Eraser Multi-Use Concealer is Britain’s number one concealer and when you use it you can absolutely see why as it’s just one of those brilliant products that ticks all the boxes: easy to use and apply, creamy and comfortable to wear, long-lasting and budget-friendly, you can build this bad boy right up to cover even the most angry breakouts, plus it works fantastically well on dark circles too – I actually think it was originally designed with the purpose of being an under eye concealer, but it does the trick on anything that needs a good, solid, high coverage finish.
I had no idea the Maybelline Eraser Multi-Use Concealer was available in so many shades! I believe there are 18 in total (going by the Maybelline site here – link) and they go from very light to very dark, with plenty in-between; I was sent the shade Ivory which I think is the palest shade in the collection, and I’m impressed to say that it’s actually too pale for me! This is something I so rarely get to say as more often than not, things are too dark for me – there are still entire ranges that don’t go pale enough for me – so the fact that this shade is so pale proves that there is plenty of choice for us very pale skin tones. I can still get away with using it under my eyes where it doesn’t hurt to go a shade or two lighter, but it’s definitely too pale for my spots.
Among the rest of the shades, there’s also a neutraliser shade and a brightener shade, so for those who really struggle with dark circles, you can layer these up to get some serious coverage – I think this is so impressive for a budget range. The applicator is a cross between a cushion and a sponge, so at a push you could technically just “apply and go” but, you’d have to get the amount of product just right, as too much and you’ll end up just smudging it around without blending it in, but too little and you’ll wipe it off. I personally think that you’re better off using a concealer brush to get a really good finish, but for touch-ups you could possibly make the applicator work…or it might just be and my clumsy hands that thinks this!
The Maybelline Eraser Multi-Use Concealer costs £8.99 and I’m linking to Boots where there’s currently a 2 for £12 promo on Maybelline products, so you can stock-up on this, or pick up some newer launches – I really rate their mascaras! Find the concealer here – link.
