Yardley are one of those brands that I think are in desperate need of so much more love than they get, as they provide truly beautiful fragrances that can happily compete with others that are 3-4 times the price. The new English Honeysuckle line is a perfect example of this; my beauty table is currently decorated with gorgeous new fragrance launches with very high price points, but the one I’m currently reaching for most is the Yardley English Honeysuckle EDT.
There are currently three products in the line, the English Honeysuckle EDT (£14.99 here – link), the English Honeysuckle Body Mist (usually £6 but currently £4 here – link) and the English Honeysuckle Body Spray (usually £2.49 but just £1 (!!) here – link) and the English Honeysuckle scent is the newest member of the Yardley Traditional Florals collection. Such a great price for all three!
The Yardley English Honeysuckle fragrance is a very pretty floral that’s fresh and bright without the usual underpinning of anything too sweet that you often get with floral scents, plus the top notes are black pepper and bergamot, so you have a really vivid opener that balances so well with the heart notes of jasmine and, of course, honeysuckle. The base notes are gently floral and woody, thanks to the moss, musk, heliotrope and patchouli – I’m not a massive fan of patchouli, personally, but I don’t find it especially dominant in this fragrance.
I really like Yardley’s English Honeysuckle and I find it a really cheering, bright and enjoyable fragrance to wear, making this a really great budget find. I also love the fact that the body mist and spray means you can really layer it to make it last. The full range is available now and you can find out more about it at Yardley here – link.
