My favourite gifts to receive when I actually received gifts (we now just all buy stuff for my son) was makeup, as I just love makeup so much, so receiving a makeup gift was always really exciting! I’ve found some great makeup gifts this year, so let’s have a little look at some makeup gift ideas:
Smashbox always do such lovely gifts that really appeal to the makeup lover in me. The Lash, Liner and Shadow Set (£30 here – link) is the perfect gift for anyone who tends to go in heaviest on the eye (I rarely do a bold lip or a strong contour, it’s all about the eyes for me) as you get a quad of Smashbox eye essentials.
I stocked up some of my Revolution sheet masks essentials recently and this gorgeous quad of tinted lipbalms caught my hair – how pretty are these?! This is the Revolution Pro Glow Lip Balm Set (£10.50 here – link) which contains four full-sized balms, so you could either give the whole set as a single gift or break it down into two or four stocking fillers.
The IT Cosmetics Celebrate Your Heavenly Luxe On the Go Brushes (£25 here – link) contains a trio of brush essentials from the amazing ITC, all presented in a pretty little rose gold pouch. As the brushes are smaller in size, this could work well as a stocking filler too, or a great gift for anyone who travels.
The Beauty Hygiene Plus Beauty Hygiene Travel Kit (currently £11.99 here – link) is pretty much an essential kit for any makeup lover, containing a duo of makeup/brush sanitisers. Probably not the most exciting gift to give (we can put this firmly in the “practical” category) it does come with a trio of makeup brushes which definitely gives it a lot more appeal!
The Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pens are the most beautifully creamy eyeliners around, they are amazing for both waterliner and traditionally lining and I love them so much! The Endless Silky Eye Pen Kit (£14 here – link) contains a trio of mini liners in beautiful shades, plus a sharpener too.
tarte are one of my favourite makeup brands, and I think their base products and mascaras are some of the best around, so on my last tarte haul I snapped up this best of lashes mascara set (£32 here – link) which is such good value for a trio of full-sized mascaras!
You can’t write about makeup gifts without including a little sub-section focusing on palettes, so I found three different price points, all equally gorgeous, to give you some inspiration!
Starting at the budget end, it’s those guys again, Revolution Beauty. The Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless Allure Eyeshadow Palette (£12 here – link) is a stonker of a palette, perfect for the festive season, crammed full of beautiful (yet wearable) shades.
The bareMinerals Mineralist Eye Shadow Palette (£28 here – link) comes in six different colourways, each of which contains six perfectly edited shades that’ll help you to create a variety of eye looks. The palette comes presented in book-style packaging which is not only adorable, but very giftable too. I went for the Ultranatural shade mix as I do love those cool tones.
Finally, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit (normally £79, currently £59.25 here – link)is a really impressive palette that’s an ideal gift if you want to go all-out. Almost £80 for a palette containing just five powders is definitely decadent, but it’s well worth keeping an eye out for deals like the one currently running at Feelunique.
