Around a month ago, I shared with you the extremely exciting news that Tatcha was shortly to launch in the UK and I’ve been itching to share with you my thoughts on the products ever since, but I wanted to wait until they were available in Space NK (if you’re like me and want to get your NDULGE points) and now that time is here, so I can share with you all my love for Tatcha!
I won’t introduce the brand as I’ve already done that in my post here, so have a read if you fancy knowing more. Instead, I’m going to share with you my thoughts on the four products I was sent, that collectively form The Ritual, with the idea being that you can use all four products together for optimal skincare. However, obviously, you don’t have to use them in a set routine and can add them into your existing one instead.
Tatcha The Camellia Cleansing Oil – £45 here – link
I read the blurb on this cleansing oil before I used it, where it promised a noticeable difference to the hydration of your skin; I thought this was pretty unlikely considering it’s only on your face for a matter of minutes, but it really does make a difference and skin feels amazing afterwards – I would even go as far to say that this is the best cleansing oil I’ve ever used!
I have sensitive eyes but this works like a dream on the whole face, thoroughly removing makeup without leaving any residue, but still leaving skin feeling noticeably softer, smoother and even bouncier – what wizardry is this?! I also absolutely love the bottle; this is a premium product with a high price point and boy do you know it by how beautifully it’s designed. So much love and I will definitely repurchase.
Tatcha The Rice Polish: Classic – £60 here – link
This was the last product I used in my quad as I really didn’t think I would like it, but once I used it I would say it became my favourite of the four; it’s a powder formula that you add water to, then this results in a slightly foamy wash that doesn’t feel soapy or abrasive, but really smooths and buffs the skin, leaving it looking very polished and glowing, without any obvious manual exfoliation.
Again, seriously gorgeous packaging that is a pleasure to use, and I also love that it’s available in three variants; I have the Classic version, but there’s also Gentle and Deep, although I personally find the Classic version very gentle. I would definitely repurchase this as I find it a pleasure and I genuinely look forward to using it!
Tatcha The Essence – £95 here – link
I’ve read mixed reviewed on The Essence but I found it a really lovely product to use that works exactly as an essence should. Its a light, watery product housed in the most beautiful bottle, providing a layer of additional hydration and boosting any routine with a little more moisture.
The Essence is a really good example of skincare feeling like self-care, as it encourages a loving application and the whole experience feels very indulgent. For me, essences are not absolute essential for everyday use, so with that in mind I would not repurchase, but I can definitely see myself using this one up.
Tatcha The Silk Cream – £115 here – link
Finishing off with the fanciest of fancy face creams, I think we should all take a moment to appreciate the beauty that is the design of the Tatcha creams, which all appear to be come with a little gold storage hook on the lid to hold the spatula – so simple, so genius.
The Silk Cream is exactly as it sounds, extremely silky, moves over the skin like satin, feels amazing on, plays wonderfully with other skincare and works like a priming dream under makeup. It also contains Dimethicone and Damask Rose which are both things that would usually not bother most skin types, but there are three ingredients my stupid, fussy skin reacts to, and these are two of them (the other being Niacinamide which is in eeeeeeverything nowadays) so I knew I was taking a risk when I used this, but I still went ahead and I can get away with using it a few times a week with no problem, but if I use it day and night (which I did to start off with, as it’s really lovely) then I end up breaking out.
Having said that, if you’re prone to breakouts yet fine with the above ingredients then I’d say you’d be fine with this as, considering it’s such a rich and hydrating formula, it’s a gel that feels very light on the skin and I wouldn’t expect it to cause any major breakouts, although obviously all skins are different so get hold of a sample if unsure. I would repurchase this because of the aforementioned ingredients, but I have my eye on the other Tatcha moisturisers already!
There we have it! What a gorgeous range and I’m so happy it’s made it to the UK. Find the full range online at the Tatcha site here – link – and at Space NK here – link. Also worth noting that the Tatcha site are currently offering 15% off to new customers who join their mailing list.

i have the cleansing oil. was interested to try hence the buy. it does feel luxurious (i mean, it has to be luxurious right, coz of the price lol). and i agree with you about removing eye makups like a dream, and to me without stinging
though, to be honest, i’ve used others that are much cheaper & feel the same, if not better, especially some Asian brands & drug store brands.
