Spots are my biggest skin issue, as we know, but coming in at a close second is dehydration which is something I’ve battled with for quite some time now – I want to say it started during my pregnancy (it certainly got worse then) but I think it might’ve been something that’s been around for a while. If you have extremely hard to please skin then the Clinique Moisture Surge range is absolutely amazing.
The battle for dehydrated, spot-prone skin types is getting a balance right as one side of you wants to cover your skin is rich emollients that’ll ease the tightness, but of course this approach is likely to make your spots worse. The Clinique Moisture Surge range is based around a really unique formulation that’s great for skin like mine; it’s oil free and a gel consistency, yet it still feels rich and hydrating, just without any heaviness.
I think I can count on one hand how many skincare products I’ve completely used up with one of them being the original Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief that I picked up quite a while a go; as you can see in the pot above, I’ve almost cleaned out the Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator too! Clinique do some great creams for tricky skin types (if you want something a bit more advanced than just a really great hydrator, try the Super Rescue moisturisers) and I’ve never found any of their products cause breakouts, so if you’re struggling to get the balance just right, give the Moisture Surge line a go. I have the Moisture Surge Overnight Mask to try, so keep your eyes peeled for that review soon. The full range can be found in store and online here – link.
