If you’re struggling to get into the party mood for the Christmas season, this new collection from Sleek Makeup might be just the tonic. It’s a small add-on collection of two palettes – one eyeshadow, one highlighter – and three glitter lipglosses, all of which will happily slot into your current routine to give it a bit more of a Christmas sparkle.
The great thing about Sleek is how affordable they are without comprising on quality; you always get great colour payoff and an easy to work with formula that punches miles above its price point. Plus, I really love the packaging, especially for the Gold Collection, which is simple and elegant in matte black with a gold outline.
Starting off with the Gold Standard i-Lust Palette, which is a slimline collection of six shades in both cream and powder formulas. It’s quite an interesting one for Sleek, since we’re so used to the i-Divines, but I do really like this as it has a Bobbi Brown vibe about it, but without the luxury price tag.
As you’d expect from Sleek, the formula is rich and pigmented in both the cream and powder finishes and the shade selection is fabulous; luxuriously golden, copper, champagne, and there’s even a burnt gold shade for a smokey gold eye. The Sleek Gold Standard I-Lust Palette is £7.49 here – link.
The Midas Touch Highlighting Palette is the sort of product I’d like to just look at and not touch – a quad of cool-toned highlighters that get me all excited about the party season and in desperate need of a reason to crack this out and get highlighting!
The quad contains three powders and one cream highlighter, and as you can see from the swatches, you can build-up to some serious gleam; would you just look at that blue-toned purple? It’s so “ice queen”, I just love it! It’s £10 here – link.
The final additions to the Sleek Christmas Collection are the three Glitter Me shades, in Money Talks – gold; Uptown Girl – Pink and finally Private Jet which is red.
I’m not really one for heavily glittery lips, but these strike a nice balance with a good shot of glitter that doesn’t overly dominate the colour itself, so I think these work really well with the I-Lust palette for creating a gleamy, gilded finish without leaving you looking like a statue. These are £5 each here – link.
What do you think of the Sleek 24K Gold Collection? Fancy winning the whole set yourself? I can make it happen! Just follow the Rafflecopter instructions below. As this is a Christmas collection, I want to make sure you get it in time for the holiday season, so I’m cutting the competition a bit shorter than normal and finishing it on the 23rd November 2015. Good luck! xx
