How fabulous are Schwarzkopf?! Pre-pandemic, one of my favourite things to do was browse the beauty aisles at Boots, where I would usually spend a few moments in the hair care row and I would always see what was new from Schwarzkopf, who are easily the best budget hair care range available – their prices are amazing, but they produce products that land miles above their price point, plus they have so many ranges on offer and they’re always adding something new and exciting to the mix. I received a few new bits to try, and I immediately zoned in on the Volume Lift range.
So far, there are just two products in the Schwarzkopf Volume Lift collection, the Volume Lift Mousse and the Volume Lift Hairspray, the latter of which is available in two sizes: the humungous 400ml, or the dinkier, easier to transport, 75ml. I’m not much of a mousse person, but I have used the Volume Lift Mousse a few times, and it really does work at giving hair a bit of density without any residue – hair just feels thicker all over, holds a style better, and for me, someone who has long hair that can fall very flat, it makes a big difference to root lift too. Schwarzkopf Volume Lift Mousse is available from Boots for £3 for 250ml here – link.
The Schwarzkopf Volume Lift Hairspray is my favourite of the duo, as it’s a product I’ve found myself reaching for every time I do my hair. First and foremost, even though it provides a strong hold, it’s very light on the hair, so you can use quite a bit without feeling like your hair is being held in position. Secondly, the mist is really good so you don’t get any clumps of product. What I like most of all is that you can actually use it to add volume to your hair, by the old school trick of flipping your head over, giving everything a good spray, waiting a few moments and flipping it back. I tried this years ago and I would find that it would work great for the first half an hour before slowly dropping, but this spray holds everything in place so well, making it a total bargain at just £3 for that huge bottle here – link.

I definitely need some help with root lift! I missing browsing the aisles of Boots – they’re re-opening here on the 17th, but I’m definitely still too nervous to hit the shops x
