Kayali fragrances have very quickly taken over my fragrance collection as I’m yet to come across a scent I haven’t really enjoyed; if you’re unfamiliar with Kayali scents, then believe the hype as they really are gorgeous! I recently received the newest member of the Kayali fragrance family, Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar, so here’s a little look at my thoughts on the scent and what it’s all about.
With a name like Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar, I’m sure it comes as no surprise that this is a sweet, vanilla fragrance consisting of mostly sugary notes such as marshmallow, vanilla cream, bubblegum and candied pear. However, it is surprisingly warm and so perfectly balanced with woody base notes, plus there’s violet leaves, jasmine and patchouli that cut through the sweetness, so whilst this is definitely one for the sugar lovers, it’s still a very grown-up and wearable fragrance, designed to be a more youthful and lighter take on the brand’s iconic Vanilla 28.
The two things I love most about Kayali fragrances (other than how gorgeous they all smell, obviously!) is the fact that they come in a variety of sizes from 10ml upwards, so you can try a decent sized mini that’ll give you a good few uses to fully experience the fragrance before you decide if you would like to commit to a larger bottle. This consideration to accessibility makes me really love the brand, because fancy fragrances are often so out of reach when it comes to their price point.
The second thing I love is how each scent can be layered with other scents in the collection to create an entirely new fragrance. I love this concept as I think it opens up so much possibility; when you add a single Kayali fragrance to your existing collection you are opening up several new fragrance options and I love that so much! Mona recommends layering Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar with Vanilla 28, Eden Sparkling Lychee 39 (my favourite combo) and Utopia Vanilla Coco 21, but feel free to be creative and find your perfect pairing!
