I am extremely excited about the launch of the Bobbi Brown Hot Collection as it’s full of gloriously bright pops of colour in a choice of finishes that all make me lust for Summer. It’s inspired by Florida which is the hometown of brand face Kate Upton, so it’s all about nude eyes with a slick of liner, pretty cheeks and a pop of strong colour on the lips. This is often my go-to look when I fancy making a bit more effort so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some of the products, which I’ll be reviewing and swatching soon.
There are three new arrivals to make-up the Bobbi Brown Hot Collection, starting with the new and limited edition shades of the Hot Sticks in Hot Pink, Hot Orange and Hot Berry. The Hot Sticks are creamy, chunky pencils that create a matte yet comfortable finish on the lips with seriously strong pigment. These are £19.50 each.
If you like your colour a little more sheer and balmy then the new shades of the Sheer Lip Colour will be right up your street. I love the fact that they’ve released the exact same shades as the Hot Sticks (Pink, Orange and Berry) so you don’t have to favour a formula to get the colour you want. I have these so I’ll be swatching and reviewing these shortly. They’re also £19.50 and they’re also limited edition.
The Cheek Palettes are extremely exciting – trios of complimentary colour that you can use to build, sculpt and illuminate. In each palette you get a neutral shade, a bright shade and a highlighting shade that can all be layered or used individually depending on your preference. These are also colour coordinated to work with the lip colours, so you have Pink – with varying shades of pink as the name suggests, Calypso with peachy, corally tones and lastly Berry, which is a little like a deeper version of the Pink palette. I have the Pink palette which I’ll review shortly. These are £34 each.
This is a stunning collection that’s being previewed online, so you can get stuck in straight away. I cannot reiterate enough that these are limited edition, so you’ll need to move relatively quickly to make the most of these gorgeous shades! Check out the preview here – link – or head in-store from the 27th February.
