Following on from my recent post about eye make-up removers for sensitive eyes here, here’s another worthy addition to the list. Amie’s Bright Eyes is an oil-free and 96% natural eye make up remover designed specifically for those of us with eyes that are overly sensitive and easily reactive.
This pale blue liquid really is incredibly gentle and soothing on the eyes and if I needed to make a comparison I’d say it’s close to Liz Earle’s Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion both in consistency and ability. This is ideal for quickly removing eye make-up as well as soothing irritated eyes. Another thing this works well as is a cold compress; when you soak 2 cotton pads in this and place on the eyes either during a facial or when your eyes are crying out for a bit of TLC.
This isn’t ideal for very heavy eye make-up as on the 2 days I tried it with a full face of make-up (as opposed to my daily bit of shadow, liner and mascara) it took quite a bit of effort to remove all traces, but for everyday use this is great.
One final thing that I think is worth mentioning that puts this on my ‘regular use’ list is the fact that I can soak a cotton tip with this and use it on the inside of my eye (to remove tightliner, if unsure what that is have a look here) which is really significant as I have such reactive eyes, so the fact that I can comfortably use this on the actual eye and not be left with sore eyes is really something.
Bright Eyes is available here for £4.75.
