N.O.T.D. Rose Gold

January 16, 2012 · In: Nails

Ladies and gentleman, please allow me to welcome you to my very first Nail of the Day! This is very exciting, I’m sure you’ll agree.

Before we begin, please can we take a moment to mourn the loss of the tip of one of my nails.  I’m sure it’s got a slightly fancier name, but I only know it as the finger I point with, so RIP pointy finger tip, I’ll miss you forever more.

I suck at nails, as I’ve mentioned previously, but I’m still a sufferer of creative tendencies so here’s my effort at a bit of a creative nail.  It’s really nothing to write home about, as I’m sure you’ll agree, but I’m happy as it looks fairly neat and I like the effect.

For this I’ve used Rimmel 60 Second Nail Polish in Rose Libertine followed by OPI Gold Shatter Top Coat.

I mentioned a while ago that when the OPI Gold Shatter arrived in a beauty box, I’d quite like to paint it over a pink nail to create a Rose Gold look, so here it is!

I can’t stand shatter polishes. I think they look so messy!

Thanks guys 🙂 I really love this combo! I wasn’t too sure at first but it’s really grown on me so I’ll definitely be using these together again xx

I thought I wouldn’t like shatter nail polish, then I tried it and loved it. That is exactly what happened to me with jeggings!

@Izzie when it first came out, I thought it looked really cool but as I’m rubbish with nail art etc that there’d be no point in trying it as I’d muck it up! It’s so easy though isn’t it? I think my Pug could do it 😉 xx
