I’ve been using the Clinique Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector* ever since I received it in a goody bag a few months back, although I had been toying with purchasing it a while before then. It’s a tinted cream with a medium consistency that you apply straight from the tube, using the metal tip applicator to work it in.
I’ve never agreed with the new fad of metal tips on eye treatments – the idea being that the metal cools and depuffs the eye area – as I’ve found them to drag around the skin, but I get on a lot better with this one as it definitely feels cooling and moves around the skin with ease. The tint in the treatment itself makes little difference for me, as I find that once it’s worked into the skin it’s invisible. Even though this is more of a treatment than a make-up product, the main reason I keep using it is because it works really well as a primer. I only use this in the mornings as I need a more moisturising treatment in the evenings, but I do rely on this to refresh my eyes and prime them for make-up.
It’s too soon to tell whether it’s had any impact on the skin around my eye area (it’s aimed to boost hydration resulting in the skin appearing less transparent) but I’ll report back if I notice any changes. The price point for this is quite high – £28 for 10ml – although I can see it lasting quite some time as you need very little for each application. I wouldn’t put this down as an absolute essential for me, but I do like it and will continue to use it, although the Jury is out as to whether I’ll repurchase.
