Boots No7 have done something a bit different this season, and I have to say, I think it’s a really great idea. Rather than release a load of new products to work with seasonal trends, they’ve instead released two key products which will allow you to update your make-up kit to keep it on trend, without having to spend a fortune. Basically, you work with what you’ve got and add a couple of updates to stay modern, so the look created includes current products (for example, Stay Perfect Eyeshadow in Wheatsheaf, Beautiful Skin BB Cream and Stay Precise Felt Tip Liner) that most of us will inevitably have already.
The look No7 have focused on is “Sugar and Spice with Lashings of Black Eyeliner”, with inspiration taken from the ever-popular 60’s look of feminine nudes and pretty pinks; think Twiggy wide-eyed with the addition of complimentary and gentle pastels. Therefore, the two new additions are the limited edition Ballerina Beauty Blush Palette*, and the Tip Toes* shade of their Stay Perfect Nail Colour range. I can pretty much guarantee that both these products will be hugely popular; it’s safe to say my pictures do not do them justice!
Yesterday was my first proper event day of the year and consequently I am shattered, so I just took a few pictures of the products to give you a quick look, but the accompanying press release suggests a look to create which I will definitely be FOTDing soon.
The Ballerina Beauty Blush Palette is astoundingly pretty, as you can (hopefully!) see in the images. It’s a collection of 3 shades of pink with varying degrees of shimmer, an outer shade of a more nude, toned-down pink (reminiscent of Mac’s Mocha) and these are all tied together with an intricate, bright pink bow. There’s a lot of room to play with colour wise, as you an work it all together for a brightening flush of pink, or just focus on the muted pink for everyday wear.
Tip Toes is the nude for those of us who can’t wear nudes! It’s a pinky beige shot through with plenty of shimmer that I cannot wait to try, so expect it to make an appearance on here very shortly. You can really see the ballerina-style influence on this shade as it wonderfully encompasses the delicate femininity of ballerina slippers. Nude nails (along with the textures) are big this upcoming season, so this is a beaut of a shade to try.
Both products are available from now until 19th March 2013, while stocks last. The palette is £12 and Tip Toes is £5.50.
I love the look of the blush palette, it’s stunning! And MAC’s Mocha is one of my favourite blushers anyway, so topping it off with a brighter hint of pink sounds gorgeous.
Me too! I love Mocha and every time I have a break from it and come back to it I’m reminded how amazing it is. I absolutely love the layout of this one, it’s just so pretty xx
OMG…I love that blush palette, its ADORABLE!!! I cant wait til its out. I might just might have to break my ban for it and get it!
Lovely, girly and very pretty
