I realise the title of this post makes it sound a little bit like a charity, but I wasn’t sure how else to title it! I’ve been planning to write a post for a while about Latest in Beauty boxes – referred to by LiB as “collections” as I think they’re such a fab way of doing beauty boxes. I find the main reason people don’t like beauty subscription services such as Glossybox and Birchbox is due to the uncertainty that comes with receiving a collection of products selected on your behalf. Therefore the LiB Collection Boxes might be just what you’re after.
Two of the boxes currently available that I think are quite interesting and are good examples of the concept, are the Ultimate Summer of Discovery Box and the Editor’s Picks box. The Summer box contains products from brands such as Dr Nick Lowe, L’Occitane and Steamcream and costs £14.95 including postage and packaging and more info can be found here – link.
The Editor’s Pick box is much more up my street, but sadly it’s currently out of stock, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it stays that way. However, I thought it was worth a mention as it’s such a fab box, that it might encourage the monthly beauty box sub haters to keep an eye on LiB instead! The Editor’s Pick contains brands such as Benefit, Eve Lom, Mavala and Bellapierre and, when available, was £12.95 including postage and packaging – you can have a look at the full contents here – link.
Not only can I see this sort of previewed collection approach appealing to a lot more beauty lovers, I also think it’s a great way for new or young bloggers to put together a ‘blog stock’ of items for them to try, review and blog about without having to spend a fortune. There’s usually at least 4 collections at any one time available at LiB, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the page to see what’s happening. Head to here to see what’s available now – link.
Ooooh, I do like the look of the Editor’s Pick box – shame it’s out of stock! And I agree with you about being able to see what you get before your box arrives; that’s why I’m loving Love Me Beauty/Beauteco so much at the moment. Yeah, it ruins the surprise, but I’m just fed up of paying for boxes full of stuff I’m never going to use!
