Now look what we have here! A great range of eyeshadow sticks in a solid selection colours at a very reasonable price; you can always rely on MUA to deliver a high-street take on a more luxury classic, can’t you? Thankfully that’s exactly what they’ve done with these Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tints, which are available in six shades, and I have two to show you: Unfaithful (charcoal) and A Girl Like Me (golden taupe).
The moment these arrived I went straight for A Girl Like Me, which is a seriously easy to wear daytime shade that I would imagine flatters most eye colours. It’s quite yellow which gives it’s golden hue, but it’s definitely a strong taupe shade. Unfaithful is a deep charcoal which can look quite black in certain lights, but thanks to it’s metallic finish (of which both shades have) it doesn’t tend to look too heavy.
Texture wise, I’m really surprised impressed as if these were just fractionally softer, they’d easily be as good as Clinique Chubby Eyes, but they’re just a little too firm. However, the benefit of them being firmer means they’re less prone to slippage and are easier to control during application, so I actually think I prefer these versions of the Chubby Eye, even if it’s just for an easier life.
They last really well and I used them without a primer which resulted in some fade after about 6 hours, but interestingly they didn’t seem to sink into fine lines on the lid, so that’s thumbs up from me all round! MUA Colour Blask Eyeshadow Tints are available now priced at the ridiculously savvy price of £3 each.
Just about to write up my review, these are terrible on me, I don’t even have oily lids, they are just awful.
Oh no, that’s such a shame! The reviews seem very mixed as some people are raving and others are finding them really difficult to work with 🙁 xx
Beautiful shades 🙂
