Considering I’m currently grumpy, moany and heavily pregnant, I had a rather lovely week last week that consisted of some serious pampering with a new haircut at Headmasters in Notting Hill, and a manicure and pedicure at home courtesy of the lovely ladies from MILK Beauty. If you’re unfamiliar, MILK Beauty are a small team of highly qualified beauty professionals who attend home visits to carry out treatments rather than work from a fixed address. This means that if you’re in need of a relaxing massage or a pampering pedicure, you can have your treatment and then quite literally roll into bed straight afterwards. You’d think that for this privilege you’d have to pay a huge surcharge, but actually the minimum price is £30 for a 40 minute treatment, so it’s an extremely affordable and accessible experience ideal for anyone who likes their pampering home based. The full treatment list is pretty comprehensive and can be viewed here – link – but my post today will be focusing on the manicure and pedicure treatments.
The way the MILK Beauty nail treatment menu operates is with a basic manicure or pedicure that you can then add on to, therefore tailor-making you treatment to suit your preferences. My Twitter followers might recall a few weeks ago when I was desperately seeking out a really indulgent pedicure, and MILK came to the rescue with their wealth of add-on options for the pedicure which included a Foot and Leg Exfoliation, Foot and Leg Massage, Hydrating Foot Masque with Indian Head Massage and a Callus Peel. I think most of the add-ons are self-explanatory and I would most recommend the Foot Masque and Indian Head Massage which costs an extra £10, but is soooo worth it, as it takes the treatment away from the feet for a bit and makes the whole thing feel a lot more indulgent and pampering.
My beauty therapist was the lovely Stephanie, who is very chatty and easy to talk to whilst remaining professional and efficient. Stephanie arrived with a box of goodies for my treatment which she arranged on the sofa for easy access. I was then set up in my rocking chair (look, I’m pregnant and I like to rock in a chair, mmmkay?) whilst Stephanie got to work on my feet. What followed was an hour and a half of an indulgent and extremely relaxing treatment that was made soooo much better by the fact that it was all taking place at my home, although the fact that my Pug kept trying to get involved wasn’t ideal, so next time she’ll be sent to the bedroom for the duration of the treatment…
The manicure was adequate, although it’s difficult to be objective as I only went for the basic manicure which was functional rather than indulgent and contrasted quite starkly to the pedicure. Therefore I think in future I’d be better off getting the functional treatment first rather than the indulgent one so I’m not left pining for more pampering! The whole experience overall was extremely positive and one I would definitely recommend; the treatments are professional, the prices are reasonable and the added bonus of having them at home really makes MILK Beauty a great beauty service, so if you’re based in London (I believe they’re mainly in North and East but do check with them as I understand they’re adding more area coverage rapidly) then head over to the MILK Beauty website here. My ‘full works’ pedicure would cost £51 and the manicure is £25. For more price list info, head here.

Great! I wanna try it out too so that I got to experience that too. I love spas that give great service.
This sounds amazing. I have never heard of MILK before but I really fancy treating myself to a treatment at home – I love the idea of having a nap afterwards!
Ps can we see a photo of your pug?! I love their little faces!
