Whilst I was off having Teddy, you may remember the fab guest post from the girls at www.agentsmythblog.com who wrote about their top five affordable foundations. They’ve very kindly written me a second guest post reviewing Una Brennan’s Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask, which is a product I really love (as well as the rest of the range; do check it out if you haven’t already) so I was thrilled to get another Beauty Blogger’s thoughts on it. Don’t forget to go and say hello to Nic and Claire if you haven’t already.
Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask
Superfacialist is a great brand found in Boots that often seems to be overlooked due to it being in really simple, understated packaging and the fact that Boots tend to put it on the low shelves where you don’t notice it unless you’re looking. However, I’ve found everything from this range that I’ve tried more than compares to higher end skincare but with a really affordable tag. Most of the range is under a tenner, and this Moisture Mask is just £8.99.
In the cooler weathers, it’s hard to keep skin properly hydrated, and even those of us with oily skin often suffer with dehydrated skin so moisture is always necessary. I love a moisture mask for an intense boost to the skin and of all the moisture masks I’ve tried, this is certainly my favourite. It’s suitable for all skin types, including the most sensitive of skin.
The mask itself is a really thick cream that I can’t help but slather on my face because it feels so luxurious. It smells quite strongly of roses which is a great thing for me because I can’t get enough of the smell! Rose can be a bit old lady-ish sometimes but actually this is really refreshing. My face tingles a bit while I have this on, but in a nice way not an unpleasant one and just lets me know it’s working. This doesn’t soak into the skin at all, which I love because I don’t see the point in masks that soak right in – that’s just a moisturiser surely? I leave this on for 10 minutes then wash it off with a warm flannel to find instantly smooth skin. After a full nights sleep my skin is still soft and plump the next morning, and if I use this once a week I find it keeps my moisture levels topped up nicely. I love everything about this mask, even down to the packaging which is really simple and practical while still being good quality. I tend to use quite a lot of this each time because I can’t help myself, but even so it lasts an awful long time and I’m nowhere near half way through after about 10 applications.
