I’ll start with the one I’m least excited about which is the Instant Glow Skin Wow Tan. It’s a liquid bronzer with quite an intense level of shimmer, and the main reason it doesn’t do anything for me is that I’m not really a liquid tan fan; when I’m keen to look something other than my signature deathly pale, I tend to go for a matte, powder bronzer as I find it the most natural. However, I was surprised how well this swatched and I think it would work really well as a kind of bronzer-come-highlighter product; almost like a bronzer take on Benefit’s High/Moon Beam. This forms part of the larger range of Instant Glow products which have already launched and this liquid bronzer retails at £5.99.
Next up is the fantastic news that Seventeen have relaunched their Cheek Stamps with five new shades. You might remember this time last year we had our first look at the gorgeous Cheek Stamps, and whilst I liked them, I found them a little too glittery for my personal taste. Fast forward to present day, and we have a much better formula still presented in the seriously cute packaging.
I’m sure it’s obvious but just in case, the idea is that you press the sponge into the blush on the inside, then you can stamp it on to your cheek. If you don’t base your beauty look on Aunt Sally then obviously you’re going to want to blend down the circles, but that’s quite easy to do with the edge of the sponge. I absolutely love this shade but I’ve mucked up as I removed the packaging where the shade name is, and now I have no idea! If and when I find out then I’ll update with the shade name, but to give you an idea it’s a lovely, cool-toned baby pink with the slightest hint of silver shimmer. The Cheek Stamps arrive on the 19th February and will cost £4.99 each.
Lastly we have the new Superlash mascara which I am very excited about. For me, Seventeen mascaras can be a bit hit and miss, but without getting too carried away I can see this one being the high street answer to Benefit’s They’re Real – interesting I’ve made two comparisons to Benefit with these new launches isn’t it? – as so far I am extremely impressed. This will be priced at £6.99 and I’m not 100% sure when it launches, but I think it might be very soon. I’ll be doing a full review soon so keep an eye out for it.
