I’ve now had a chance to get to know the newer shades of the Boots Seventeen Cheek Stamps as originally posted about here. The Cheek Stamps are fabulously novel little blushers in a range of (so far) five shades that cover a good selection of mostly wearable tones. The five shades are:
Bashful – a warm brown with light shimmer.
Blushin’ – a pale pink with light shimmer.
Made You Look – a bright, blue-toned fuchsia.
Stare Struck – a muted, deep, terracotta pink with heavy shimmer.
The Cheek of It – a peachy bronze shade with heavy shimmer.
The three shades I have are Blushin’, Stare Struck and The Cheek of It. These nifty little pots are very much all-in-one blushers with the mirror, powder and applicator all housed in the dinky-sized stamper. The blusher sits in a well inside the pot and the applicator is a sponge which you press into the pot by bringing the two parts together. The mirror is on the end of the pot so you can really can do it all in one go and travel happily with these.
The high shimmer content in a few of them is a bit of a shame as I’m not a huge fan of lots of shimmer in blush shades, but there’s very little in the Blushin’ shade, and to be honest, the other two shades I was sent would probably fall a little flat without the helpful lift of shimmer.
I really love these Cheek Stamps and I hope they stay as part of the full collection. I’m also hoping they’ll bring out something similar for the eyes (in a much smaller size obviously!) as whilst they’re very gimmicky, they also deliver on what they’re supposed to do meaning that once the novelty has worn off, you’re still left with a product that you can use. Just remember that once stamped on to the cheek you’ll need to blend with your fingers or a brush! These launch in two days on the 19th February 2014 into Boots for £4.99 a pop.
