Considering just how many amazing skincare ranges there are available, it would be quite easy to dismiss Aldi’s beauty range – Lacura – as not worth investigating considering just how insanely cheap it is; but let’s not forget that it’s Aldi who created the Multi-Intensive Serum which beat 2000 other serums – some of which were extremely expensive – in a blind trial a few years ago, so they are clearly capable of creating good skincare which is why I thought I’d flag up some of their new launches.
Firstly, there are two new additions designed for anti-ageing; Expert Day and Night Creams which will retail for £3.99 each. The range is aimed at the 30+ age group (studies were conducted on women from 39 – 69) and all who partook in the study felt their skin was less dry after use, whilst 43% who used the night cream alone reported that their skin felt stronger and had regained elasticity after 28 days of use. Not mind-blowing results, but they sound promising and I’m thinking if you’re prone to dry skin then they might be a good choice to try. These launch in store on 8th April 2014.
Next is the range I’m much more eager to find out about, which is the Clear Effect range aimed at problematic skin. Firstly, it’s extremely comprehensive already with five products launching including the 3in1 Cleanser, Daily Face Wash, Mattifying Moisturiser, Night Cream and Tinted Day Cream. I really like the fact that there is both a wash-off and a wipe-off cleanser in the range as you often only get the former for tricky skin types like mine. The prices, as expected, are extremely decent at £2.99 per product, meaning you could happily purchase the whole range for £15 and still have change. I’m a bit too snowed under with skincare at the moment so I won’t be testing this range, but I will be keeping my ear to the ground to hear how others get on with it. The Clear Effect range launches on 23rd February 2014.
