Lots and lots of lovely new goodies launching in time for sunny days from the drugstore wonders that are GOSH. There are four new launches in total plus new shades added to their popular Velvet Touch Lipstick line. This post will be a quick overview of what’s new, and I’ll be delving into more detail about some of the launches over the next week or so.
First up is the product I believe will cause the most excitement which is the Lip Lacquers; dinky little gloss/lipstick hybrids in polish style pots with soft, doe-foot applicators. These are frickin’ awesome; I love the packaging as they’re surprisingly practical (and sturdy) whilst looking rather cute and novel, but most importantly the shade range is fabulous, albeit slightly oddly named at times (Crispy Lips??) and these are a very purse-friendly £5.99.
Next are the equally awesome Forever Eyeshadow Sticks which surpassed my expectations as they are highly pigmented – they’re intensely metallic in finish – long lasting and very blendable; they are very strong competitors for much more expensive versions (hello Chubby Eyes!) and there are eight shades in total. I have four and there are at least 2 others I’d like try, which is very achievable at £5.99 a pop.
The Frosted Nail Lacquers are also new additions to the GOSH line, and they’re marketed as “Frosted Sand” with the idea that your fingers will appear as if they’ve been dipped in glittery sand when painted. That whole textured and rough sparkle finish seems big this year, and GOSH are certainly not the first brand to be doing it, but they do have five shades in total, all of which are extremely pretty and at £3.99 a go these are a steal.
The last of the new releases is the Prime’N Set which is a mattifying setting powder that can also be used as a powder. It’s a little drying on my crazily dry and spotty skin, but it is finely milled so that it’s almost like dust, meaning that it sets without a powder finish and still lets the natural dewiness of skin show through without letting oiliness appear, so I would imagine this product will be hugely successful once people get wind of its capabilities. It can also be used as a primer under make-up, but I haven’t given that a whirl yet. It’s £9.99.
Lastly there are 8 new shades added to the Velvet Touch Lipstick line, most of which appear to be nudes and pinks, so I’m happy! I have five of these shades to play with so I’ll be showing you them in more detail soon. These are £6.49.
As you can see, there are loads of new arrivals and I’m actually pretty happy with all of them! If I had to narrow it down I’d say check out the Lip Lacquers and Forever Eyeshadow Sticks, both of which I’ll be writing more about soon. Everything is available now from Superdrug and Superdrug.com – link.
