If smudgy lips aren’t your thing and you prefer a more polished look then the Glam Matte Intense delivers on that too, offering a seriously vivid and opaque finish that’s matte without the chalkiness. I’m really enjoying the new generation of matte lips and this is an extremely good example of matte lips done well.

When I first saw the shade range I didn’t think they were particularly summery, but having tried the least summery shade of them all, I can see why they’re perfect for this time of the year as they’re versatile, can be dressed up and down, and make lazy make-up very achievable; I’d recommend wearing them smudged with a lightly smoky eye or built-up with a strong hit of liner. Either way works and I’m looking forward to trying the other shades – especially Coral Denimista which looks beautiful!
The L’Oreal Glam Matte Intense Lipglosses launch in May 2014 for £7.99 each.
