You may recall a little while ago I mentioned that I’m on a mission to try and get into better habits with regards to maintaining my nails. I love a good manicure just as much as the next person, but I’m terrible at maintaining it – especially since the arrival of Teddy – and the result can often be several weeks old polish and nasty, tatty cuticles; not the best look for a beauty blogger. In fact my cuticles have been so bad in previous NOTD posts that there’s an entire Russian nail forum thread devoted to them…I kid you not.
So my plan was to try and get into the routine of applying a good hand cream and a good cuticle oil, and today’s post focuses on the latter. I love Nails Inc, we know this, and thankfully I love their cuticle oil pen which is an extremely easy way to treat your cuticles. You literally just twist the base, then up pops the oil at the top of the brush which you then apply to cuticles. The whole thing takes less than 60 seconds and it’s perfect if you’re someone who can’t be arsed but feel like you should (Hello Me) as it takes the faff out of it all. I wouldn’t say my cuticles are perfect, but they’re certainly a lot better than they were and teamed with a good hand cream, the result is much neater, smoother looking hands. Interestingly I think my nail paint jobs last longer too, so it’s definitely a quick and easy addition to my nightly routine. Available from Nails Inc stores and online – link – for £14. There’s also a duo available here – link – for £20, which is rather good saving, innit?
