Ahhh feet. Not the sexiest topic to discuss, and if I’m honest, I’m much happier talking about my favourite pink lipstick or lash-lengthening mascara, but after giving the Velvet Smooth range from Scholl a go, I had to share the love and give you my thoughts on the range. A while ago I attended a multi-brand event, but the one range that left the biggest impression was the Velvet Smooth line as they’re all products for the feet but rather than just your run of the mill foot cream, instead they’re more like skin care for your feet, which in my mind does actually add appeal to a type of product that really doesn’t offer much in the glamour stakes.
The full range includes the Essential Moisture Day Cream – a fairly heavy but easily absorbed cream that you can apply before footwear as long as you leave it a few minutes to soak in; Foot Soak – a cleansing and soothing soak that I haven’t had a chance to use yet, but it helps me justify the need for a proper foot bath so don’t be surprised if I purchase one of those soon; and next up are the two products that I find the most interesting; the Intense Serum which is of a typical serum consistency so it’s thinner and works in quickly and lastly the Night Mask which is my favourite of the bunch; a thick, rich and creamy product that really does remove all trace of dryness and is perfect for the night before a sandal day. It’s also worth noting that if you have intensely dry hands like me then all these products work just as effectively on the hands too, and none of them are too rich for everyday use, however I’m tending to just use them 2-3 times a week; I use the serum followed by the night mask just before bed and I wake with extremely soft feet. The Scholl Velvet Smooth collection is a lovely little range that pretties-up the rather dubious task of foot care, and the prices are reasonable with the day cream being £5.99, the foot soak and serum are £6.99 each and lastly the night mask is £7.99.
