I think it’s safe to say that these new launches from The Body Shop, Body Sorbets, are going to be extremely popular as soon as the sun really starts shining! The Body Shop Body Sorbets are sold as ‘a frosty burst of moisture’ which is spot-on; they’re an extremely cooling gel formula available in five fragrances: Strawberry, Mango, Pink Grapefruit, Satsuma and the floral fragrance of Moringa.
I have all the fragrances apart from Satsuma, and I’d say my favourite of the four is either Mango, or, surprisingly, Pink Grapefruit. I’m never usually one for citric scents, but Pink Grapefruit is actually quite sweet; it’s still definitely zesty and I’d say it’s the perfect morning wake-up scent. Mango is unashamedly tropical and makes me think of Solero, although much more gentle and less synthetic. Strawberry is the most real of the fruity ones and evokes memories of freshly prepared strawberry ice cream and lastly Moringa is a slightly sharp floral.
These Body Sorbets are essential if you’re travelling to a hot country as they are very effective at cooling you down. They’re a little sticky at first, so they might not be ideal for beach application, but certainly after a day in the sun or after a hot bath, these would be amazing. They can also be stored in the fridge if you want something seriously ice cold! The Body Shop Body Sorbets launch on the 16th July 2014 and will cost £7 each for a very generous 200ml.
