I have extremely mixed feelings about the Lee Stafford Oily Roots Dry Ends duo, but this is mainly due to my hair type. First let me quickly introduce you to this rather clever pair of hair products, which are designed to treat the common problem of oily roots and dry hair ends. I’d say that describes my hair type perfectly, especially now my hair is extremely long so obviously there will inevitably be a bit of dryness in the lengths and ends. Regular readers will recall that my hair became very oily during my pregnancy, and whilst I’m relieved to say that’s mostly gone, I’d say I’m on the oily side of normal with my hair type.
One thing worth keeping in mind is that I have fine hair, but a huge amount of it. Therefore it needs a lot of conditioning and it’s prone to knotting which is very frustrating. This set is a dream come true for typically fine and oily hair. I can say with absolute confidence that I’ve never in my life achieved so much thickness and volume from a hair washing duo alone, so if you’re not prone to hair knotting then you need this duo in your life immediately! The only issue for me is that the conditioner just isn’t conditioning enough; it’s clearly designed for hair that fits more readily into the more typical fine/oily behaviour, which mine definitely doesn’t. If your hair is typically fine then I think these will work amazingly for you. I really wanted to be able to rave about these two as they really are astoundingly good at removing greasiness and boosting hair like nothing else, but the fact that my hair was so knotty afterwards means I can’t carry on using them. I am actually using a different duo from Lee Stafford which suit my hair perfectly and I’l review soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Lee Stafford Oily Roots Dry Ends Shampoo and Conditioner is available now for £8.99 each from Boots here – link.
