Here’s some exciting news, the Wantable boxes are now available to UK consumers which is exciting because I think the Wantable approach to subscription boxes will fill a gap in the UK market. We have the surprise boxes (Glossybox, Birchbox) that some find a little unpredictable, and we have the LiB boxes where we know exactly what we’re getting that others don’t like because they enjoy a surprise, so welcome Wantable; a tailor-made beauty subscription service that will send you a monthly (or one off, if you just want to give it a go) box of goodies that are picked based on a surprisingly lengthy questionnaire that asks you what sort of products and colours you like, and whatever you say you don’t like you will never receive.
There are three types of Wantable boxes in total: make-up which is self-explanatory, intimates which is underwear and accessories which appears to be fashion-based and cover everything that falls under the accessory term. Obviously I’m most-excited about the make-up box, and if you’ve ever read my reviews on previous boxes it it almost always the mak-up I get excited about above anything else. The Wantable boxes aren’t available in the UK yet so you have to arrange for them to be shipped, but in my mind this adds another exciting element as you’re likely to get products that you can’t find over here. I’m not great on the conversion of dollars to pounds, especially as it’s changing all the time, but I believe if you’re a monthly subscriber it’ll cost around £32 including shipping. So that’s 4 or 5 full-size make-up products customised to meet your preferences, likely to include US only brands for just over £30…not bad eh? Head to Wantable here – link – for more info on all three of the boxes and more info on how it all works.
