Being the genius I clearly am, I’ve managed to forget to take a picture of the toothbrush fully put together, so sorry about that! Once I’ve had a chance I’ll upload an image so you can see what it looks like, although I’m sure it’s obvious. Anyway…I’ve been a long-term fan of the Philips Sonicare range and this is my fourth one. If you take really good care of them they will last you for ages, but if you’re like me and you allow the charge to completely fade constantly and only charge it for a few minutes to get just enough juice for a couple of brushes then it will not, surprisingly!
The Philips Sonicare range is quite comprehensive, with various types of brushes to suit your brushing requirements and budget. The first I had was a CleanCare which was a little on the bulky side and the base of the brush heads were absolutely gigantic, but the toothbrush itself was fabulous. The next two I had were the HealthyWhite which had an additional whitening function – basically a timer slot that allowed slightly longer to focus on teeth that would benefit from extra cleaning – and lastly we have the EasyClean, which delivers exactly what it says on the label.
The EasyClean is an easy to use, wonderfully effective toothbrush that’s fuss-free and great for anyone who’s not used a Sonicare before. It’s gentle and the heads are medium firm so they give an extremely deep clean; if you’re not used to Sonicare brushes then I would recommend using their starter function to break yourself in as it’s a very strange feeling if you’re unfamiliar!
Each Sonicare comes with a timer function that teaches you to brush for the right amount of time which is 30 seconds for each quadrant; upper left, upper right, lower left and lower right. This is extremely handy as most people don’t brush their teeth for long enough, but if you’re a rebel at heart then obviously you don’t have to follow the timing allocations. I’m a big Sonicare fan and I have been for years so I really recommend trying one if you haven’t already, especially as there are some fantastic deals around at the moment. For example, Argos have the EasyClean down from £90 to £45 here – link – which is a huge saving. It’s worth mentioning that Sonicare is what my dentist recommended to me too. Ah I’m glad you just reviewed this! I saw it the other day when I was doing my weekly shop, it was on a really great offer similar to the Argos one, and I was tempted but I hesitated because I didn’t know much about sonicate and whether it would be any good. My old oral-b one desperately needs replacing so I might pop back and pick one up!
It takes some getting used to but the Sonicare brushes are amazing; you will notice a difference in the way your teeth feel really soon after you start using it! xx
