Last year we all got a bit excited about the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish remover, which was a pot containing a sponge soaked in remover that allowed us to whip off polish quickly and easily without the need for any cotton pads or arduous rubbing. The concept alone wasn’t original as I remember carrying around a little pot of something similar when I was a teenager, AGES AGO, but Bourjois’ take was streamlined and perfected.
The genius of the Magic Nail Polish remover is just how fantastically quick it is. The sponge size is just right so it grips fingers but is still roomy enough to move around in. Consequently it is a total game-changer for polish removal, and whilst I haven’t tried it myself, I understand it makes life a lot easier when tackling tricky glitter polish removal too. The Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover for Hands and Feet is pretty much as is sounds; an updated version of the original that will work on both hands and feet.
The hand process stays the same, but the big difference is the inclusion of a sponge within the lid that can also be used for removal. To use, you tip the tub upside down then unscrew the cap and use the sponge across toes. It isn’t half as quick as the finger polish removal as obviously you can’t surround your toe in the sponge in the same way you do with the main tub, but it’s certainly a great idea and the best part is that you no longer need to worry about smudging or removing finger polish when removing toe polish – that alone is a reason everyone should have one of these bad boys in their kit! It’s also worth mentioning that the polish remover has a lovely fragrance vanilla and red fruits making this a pretty much perfect product. Available from Very for £6 here – link. It’s also available in Selfridges but appears to be out of stock online.
