The Deep Tissue Lift Facial is nicknamed the “Facial to Remember” and with good reason! It is literally 90 minutes of blissful, deep massage, masks and hot towels; it is about as pampering as you can get within a facial whilst still being surprisingly impactful on overall skin condition. Long-term readers may remember I had a facial with Mina as part of my introduction to the awesome Biologique Recherche range (here’s the post if you need a refresher) which involved an overall skin analysis and the facial I had was a mostly function intro the the range, so whilst it was wonderful and had an immediate effect on my skin, the Deep Tissue Lift Facial is a whole new world of pampering experiences as it’s so intensely relaxing – Mina has surprisingly strong hands considering they’re so dainty! – it’s also leaves your skin glowing, as you’d expect from an hour and a half of massage!
Mina is one of the people I’ve had a facial with where I’ve felt completely relaxed and uninhibited. By that I mean that I felt I could quite comfortably fall asleep and completely relax which is something I tend to struggle with. The therapy room is also really well set up for this with a heated bed, ambient candles and a room temperature just the right side of warm; I really should’ve taken pictures of the room but I was a bit zoned out post-facial so apologies for the lack of room pictures! Mina tailors all facials to the specific skin requirements of her clients, so there is no one size fits all approach to the treatment. For me, as I had a few breakouts at the time, I was given a seaweed mask to help sooth the inflammation in-between massages. Mina still uses Biologique Recherche products in all of her facials as she’s a big believer in the brand. Whilst the mask was on I was given Indian Head Massage which is probably my all-time favourite thing to have during treatments, so this really was about as pampering you can get and if your skin is in desperate need of some serious attention – especially if you’re showing signs of stress or fatigue – here is the facial for you. It isn’t cheap at £200 for the 90 minute treatment, but I challenge you to try it just once and you’ll be hooked! Mina is based at the Shavata Brow Studio in Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge here – link – where her treatments start at £100 for the Pure Deep Cleansing facial.
