As I’ve said many times before, Elemis are one of the few brands that my skin always reacts well to regardless of the product; I don’t think I’ve tried a single Elemis launch that’s caused any kind of breakout or reaction which is saying something for skin as spot-prone as mine. My skin is struggling with hydration lately so I was extremely happy to see the arrival of three new creams from Elemis: Hydra-Balance Day Cream, Hydra-Boost Day Cream and Hydra-Nourish Night Cream.
All three creams come in the classic Elemis packaging style of mostly white with a silver lid. I really like Elemis packaging as I find it quite sophisticated without any unnecessary bells and whistles. The Hydra- Balance Day Cream is aimed at normal to combination skin types and works to balance and hydrate skin that suffers from both dryness and oiliness. It’s absolutely gorgeous with a really light texture without that plasticky feeling that so often comes with light hydrators. Instead this feels wonderfully moisturising without being too thick or rich, so any skin types that aren’t dry would do well with this. The next in the day cream duo is the Hydra-Boost Day Cream which is the one I’ve been using mostly as it’s a little richer. It’s very similar to the Hydra-Balance Day Cream, just a thicker, more moisturising take with a slightly stronger scent. Lastly the Hydra-Nourish Night Cream is, as the name suggests, a deeply nourishing night moisturiser suitable for all skin types. I’m normally a bit dubious about ‘one size fits all’ approaches to skincare, but this cream definitely hasn’t broken me out and it’s bang in the middle consistency-wise, being not too rich nor too light – it’s a lovely night cream that has slotted in to my existing routine really well. All three of the wonderful new Elemis Hydra creams are available now, with the day creams costing £38 each and the night cream £42 here – link. If you’re in the market for a new moisturiser then I really recommend checking these out.

I love Elemis too- it’s yet to offend my belligerent skin!
It’s such a fab brand isn’t it? I’ve just realised I’ve got one of their collagen super systems so I’m hoping that’ll help with my dehydration xx
