I didn’t manage to do a list for June 2014 as July was a bit insane from start to finish, but thankfully August appears to be much quieter (so far…) so I had a chance to put together some of my July favourites to share with you. It’s a make-up heavy list this month with just one skincare item, so here’s a look at my favourites from last month:
First up, I’ve been going out for a local coffee quite a bit recently to take Teddy out for some fresh air and socialising, so I’ve been going for easy make-up that’s quick to apply. The Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream Compact is perfect for offering medium coverage in an extremely quick and easy application. It’s such a great product that my skin responds really well to, plus it gives a very natural finish whilst sitting well under other make-up. I’ve been been reaching for it time and time again – either for a quick 5 minute face or as a base under heavier make-up, and as you can see from the picture above, it’s well worn! Check out my original review here.
Next up is this blusher from Elemental Beauty in Sugar Mouse, which is just the most perfect shade for my colourings; it gives me that really natural, glowy, healthy look and it’s just a really good match. I’m not usually fan of loose powder blushers as I do find them a bit of a faff to use, but I make the exception for this as it’s such a lovely shade. I reviewed it alongside the Elemental Beauty foundation here.
There’s not much else I can say about the Trilogy Hydra-Tone Softening Lotion that I didn’t already say in my review, so I won’t bang on about it any more than necessary, but I will say that this is one of those lovely skincare products that you will not regret trying; it’s so gentle and wonderful to use and I think it’ll last quite a while too. Here’s my review from last week.
Another recently raved about product is the Sleek I-Divine palette in Arabian Nights as it’s such a glorious collection of shades ranging from easy-to-wear nudes to deep and moody darks, with lots of lovely jewel tones in the mix too. The i-Divines are such fantastic value considering they’re so well edited with amazing colour payoff, and this one is definitely a winner for me. Here’s my main review.
Last but not least is the product I haven’t reviewed yet, but keep your eyes peeled as the review is coming soon. It’s the bareMinerals PrimeTime Neutralizing Foundation Primer which is a yellow primer that really reduces redness like you would not believe. I’ll keep my raving for the review which I’ll write-up within the next couple of days.

I just stumbled over your blog, and a few pages back I knew I had to bookmark you! Your writing style is wonderful 🙂 A friend of mine absolutely loves the neutralizing primer.
That’s such a lovely comment to receive, thanks so much Rebecca! Obviously I wholeheartedly agree with regards to your thoughts on my son 😉 xx
