The Models Own Sweet Shop collection has now launched and I have three of the shades to share with you. I will say, I was expecting run-of-the-mill shades with the emphasis being on the scent more than anything, but the shades themselves are actually really lovely!
The shades I have are Pear Drops – a medium red/coral shot through with a fine gold glitter; Rhubarb and Custard – a deep ruby red with dense silver glitter and lastly Gumballs – a true, bubblegum pink.
The scents are exactly as they should be and you can tell what the flavour is the moment you smell it. There are scratch and sniff stickers on top of each lid to give you an idea of what to expect, and once dry, the polishes smell lovely! As you can see, one coat is quite streaky but two coats evens everything out to a great finish. I think my favourite of the three is Pear Drops as I love the summery coral alongside the scent of a juicy pear (I really do love pear!) and surprisingly, the one that got me least excited out of the three is Gumballs, even though it’s a lovely shade of pink; have I finally hit the pink overload? Surely not…?
There are two other shades, Liquorice Allsorts which appears to be a true black and the other one I like the sound of, Fizzy Cola Bottles, as it looks quite unusual in that it’s a deep beige shot through with glitter. I’ll be checking out the swatches. The MOdels Own Sweet Shop is available now for £4.99 a pop from Models Own here – link.
