Kiko recently launched a range of manicure and pedicure products that forms a comprehensive range of pretty much everything you need to achieve the perfect at-home pedicure, such as scrubs, creams, balms, moisturising hand and foot gloves as well as tools such as cuticle nippers, files and buffers, so there’s everything you need at typically affordable Kiko prices. I wanted to share with you the slightly crazy Hand & Foot Stone Scrub as it’s truly a great product with some very annoying flaws!
The scrub itself is dense and black with plenty of scrubby bits making it ideal for typically rough, dry, foot skin. I love the fact that this is aimed at both hands and feet as I often use foot scrubs on my hands due to my very dry hands that come from being on crutches and having my hands in hot, soapy water on a daily basis whilst cleaning feeding equipment for my son, Teddy. Therefore a good, tough scrub makes the world of difference before applying a moisturiser, plus it’s also handy to gently work over the cuticle area to remove any dead skin.
The massive flaw with this product is the colour. I’ve used this a couple of times during at-home manicures and it turns my nails, hands and skin temporarily grey, which is not a look I’m going for! With a bit of extra work you can remove the grey tinge, but it can tinge the cuticles and the scrubby bits tend to get stuck under the nails if you’re not careful; again this wouldn’t be a major problem if the product wasn’t so dark, so it’s a bit of a pain but really nothing major in the grand scale of things. In conclusion, I really love this scrub as it delivers on effectively softening skin and preparing it for a dose of moisture, and if it wasn’t for the colour this would be a pretty much perfect scrub for the hands and feet. Gray doesn’t sound so nice on the skin!
It isn’t great! Thankfully it washes off otherwise that would be seriously un-fun xx
