I wrote about the arrival of these gorgeous polishes from Models Own here, of which there are 10 new shades that all contain real diamond dust. I have to say, I really, really love this collection as the colours are just fantastic. They’re unashamedly bright, fun and I totally dig them.
I have three of the shades, Radiant Pink which is a brilliant bright pink, Emerald Green which is a very 80s green that’s incredibly fun and Oval Plum, a deep berry shade. The diamond dust element of these polishes is interesting as it gives a hint of shimmer rather than glitter – in the pot they look quite sparkly but they actually come out a lot more subtle. This will no doubt divide wearers, but I personally like the subtleness.
I’ve got Radiant Pink on my nails at the moment (NOTD post will arrive shortly) and I am in total love. I haven’t tried taking it off yet, but no typical glitter issues have been reported yet so hopefully it won’t be too much of a faff. Out of the ten new shades there are several I’ve got my eye on; Pear Purple, Asscher Blue (which, going by online swatches, translates to a glorious neon blue) and the Princess Pink shade also looks lovely – a pale, barbie pink shot through with gentle shimmer? YES PLEASE. The whole line is available from Models Own online here – link – and in the Bottleshops too for £4.99 a pop. Models Own tend to do some great promos – I don’t think I’ve ever been to a Bottleshop that hasn’t had the “6 for £20” deal on, so if you have your eye on a few shades then you should hopefully be able to take advantage.
