I find myself reaching for Merumaya products more and more frequently lately, as they’re a good, solid range of calming and soothing products that really do what they promise. They’ve been created by someone who has experienced adult acne and consequently developed a line of skincare that will not only target the issues associated with spots, but also treat signs of ageing and do this all gently and carefully so as not to upset tricky skin. Obviously this means the range is perfect for me and I’ve definitely seen some great results – from the current range I highly recommend the Melting Cleansing Balm and the Skin Brightening Exfoliating Peel, the latter of which I regularly rave about. Now there are a few new products being added to the line, two of which I have to show you today.
The first of the two is the Merumaya Treatment Toner which is a hydrating and softening formula packed full of goodies such as hyaluronic acid and essential amino acids for nourishment and vitamin C that only activates on contact with skin, providing antioxidant protection alongside a very, very gentle exfoliation. This is a lovely, easy toner that will work extremely well for all skin types. After use, skin feels refreshed and hydrated, so it performs very well and can easily slot into any existing skincare routine, however, I’ve been recently using it straight after washing with the Melting Cleansing Balm from the same range which has resulted in really balanced skin – quite uncharacteristic for my skin! This is £14.50 here – link.
The next product I’ve been trying is the Merumaya Overnight Recharge Night Cream. When this arrived I was really thrown by the pump dispenser packaging as I’m so used to pots for night creams and pump dispensers for day creams, but this is actually an extremely hygienic and well thought out way of packaging a night cream if you consider how many other products you use at night, and the risk of cross-contamination. The Overnight Recharge Night Cream is rich yet not overly-so and it sinks in relatively quickly leaving skin feeling hydrated but not greasy. As I’m very dehydrated lately, I use two pumps, but oily to normal skins would only need one pump. This compliments the Treatment Toner well as it contains a lot of similar ingredients that can continue the good work of the toner. This is £33.50 here – link – and I’d really recommend this if you have skin that’s all over the place like mine, as it’s one of the few night creams that really nourishes without blocking pores. Some truly great new launches from Merumaya and I’m excited to see what comes next! Micellar Water maybe? Or an Exfoliating Toner to compliment the hydrating properties of the Hydrating Toner? If you don’t like ordering online then don’t forget the Merumaya range is also available in John Lewis.
