October is Breast Cancer Awareness month which means you can splurge knowing that some of your cash is going to a good cause. One in eight of us will develop Breast Cancer at some point, so I applaud a month dedicated to spreading awareness via beauty binging. For more information on Breast Cancer such as how to check your breasts and what signs to look for, have a look at the Breast Cancer Care site here. If you’re looking to be a bit more charitable this month, here are five gorgeous beauty products that will donate to Breast Cancer charities:
Starting with the first one to pop into my inbox, which is the Bobbi Brown Pretty Pink Ribbon Collection, which consists of 4 lipglosses in 2 different finishes (2 high shimmer and 2 normal) in 4 different shades of pink. Each gloss is 4ml (the standard size is 7ml) and the full set is £30 which is pretty decent value for such a lovely set of pinky goodness, plus £5 from each sale goes to the BCA charity. Find it here – link.
Next is the Rosa Rosa Skincare Set from Bodhi & Birch, which contains 3 full-sized products; Clarifying Cleanser, Hydrating Toner and Daily Moisturiser. This is a lovely new launch from Bodhi & Birch that’s beautifully scented and wonderfully presented, and even though it’s not cheap at £80 for the set (a £15 saving off individual prices) all profits go to Breast Cancer Care. The special edition set can be found here – link.
Estee Lauder always put together the best selection of Breast Cancer Awareness products and it’s Evelyn Lauder created the infamous pink ribbon and started the collaborations between beauty brands and breast cancer charities. There are several lovely products available from Estee Lauder for this years BCA month, but my favourite is the Evelyn Lauder and Elizabeth Hurley Dream Pink Collection which contains one lipstick and 2 mini polishes housed in a gorgeous pink clutch, all for the ridiculously good price of £28, £10 of which goes to BCR – it can be found here – link.
The infamous Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream is available in a limited edition pink tub at the moment, with £160 worth of product for £99. I like the Elemis approach to the charity month which involves them pledging a set amount regardless of what’s sold. This month they’ll be sending 10K over to BCC – not bad eh? If you fancy grabbing a pink tub of Marine Cream then you can find it here – link.
Lastly, here’s what’s probably my favourite as I have it and it’s a gorgeous shade, which is the BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in shade Survivor. I love the shade name and I love the shade itself which is a very pretty pink – I’ll be reviewing it soon. It’s £16 with £5 going to Look Good, Feel Better (a charity that helps women going through cancer treatment) and there’s also currently free delivery with the code “SURVIVOR” whilst stocks last – here.
