Honestly, there are so many brands launching every day that it can feel very overwhelming trying to establish what’s worth spending time on getting to know. For me, I tend to follow my gut instinct on brands as I get feelings about ones that I think will do well, both effectively and commercially. If you follow me on any of the social media platforms then you’ll know what these brands are as I get very excited! To start the year, I thought I’d put together five brands that I think are going to achieve great things in the UK this year.
Codage
I first came across this brand at the QVC press show and the moment I found out more about it I knew it’d be a brand I’d want to start using. It’s very French, very sensible, beautifully presented and one of those brands that I can see setting a standard in skincare – serums formulated to deal with seasonal skin changes? Yes please! They’re launching a couple of introductory kits on to QVC later this month, and I for one CANNOT WAIT to see what they achieve in the UK market this year. Check out my intro post here and buy here – link.
Only Fingers and Toes
I’ve banged on about this awesome brand since I first became familiar with it last year, and I can see it going from strength to strength. It’s a fantastic collection of amazing shades, presented in carefully constructed and ergonomically designed bottles that are served in wonderful gift boxes, making them a truly luxurious product. I love their shade selections and I always find their seasonal collections very exciting. Here’s my intro post to the brand and here’s a look at their AW edit. You can buy them online here – link – where there’s currently 40% off everything in the NY sale, so get shopping!
Chidem
Chidem is an interesting one as it’s a brand that needs a few tweaks, especially with their packaging and presentation, but the products themselves – which, let’s face it, is the most important element – are extremely impressive. I’ve only tried a couple and I don’t want to give away too much as I’ll be writing up a full review soon, but I really hope this brand gets the exposure it deserves as honestly, the products are spot on. You can find out more about them here – link.
Studio 10
I’ve been lucky enough to have a play with a few items from the Studio 10 collection of face products and they’ve all quickly become products I reach for again and again; even the compact foundation, which I didn’t have high hopes for since I need high coverage. Anyone who looks to make-up to enhance and flatter rather than mask will love this range of wonderful sculpting and naturally lifting products, all of which are very easy to use. Here’s my intro post and you can find out more about the range (along with video guides on contouring and make-up application) here – link.
Anne Semonin
Another French skincare brand, this lovely line of carefully crafted products has actually been around for 25 years, but as it only appears to be available at either Liberty or online, it isn’t as known as it should be. Hopefully 2015 will change that as I love, love, love this range! I’ve only tried a couple of things so far, but the products are aimed at real people who don’t always get a good night’s sleep, people who like to have a drink or a smoke and want skincare that will correct the effects of these types of behaviours. Therefore you have ice cube treatments that you keep in your freezer, perfect for hangover skin, oxygen serums for smokers, as well as a comprehensive collection of skincare for all skin types. Check out the full range here – link.
The beauty industry is such a fast-moving world where there are new releases and innovations arriving on an almost daily basis, so I cannot wait to see what 2015 brings!

Really interested in the Anne Semonin stuff, at last a range for the bad girls! We need all the help we can get!
The French have it nailed in that they acknowledge that there are lots of people who do these things that aren’t great for skin, so rather than ignoring the problem they address it head-on! xx
Ooh I remember seeing the Fingers and Toes range, didn’t realise it was Orly! Definitely have to check them out again 🙂 x
Ah yeah I can see how you thought that as Orly and Only are very similar, but they are independent and their name is Only Fingers and Toes xx
Ah fail, need new glasses lol! x
Ha ha 😀 No not at all! I can see how you’d see a nail brand and easily read “only” as “orly” xx
