Umberto Giannini was the first high-street haircare brand I got really into. Their volume range used to come in green bottles and I used to really enjoy using the full range – as a sidenote, the volume range has been replaced by a gorgeous looking purple line of products called “Incredible Body”.
The Glam Hair range has been around a while and I used to be a fairly religious user of the Dry Shampoo from the range; if you don’t get on with the more popular dry shampoo ranges then I strongly recommend you try this one!
I was sent a couple of the Glam Hair products to play around with and I’ll talk firstly about the Glam Hair Massive Mousse which is designed, as the name suggests, to give you volume. A plum-sized amount does the trick and this really does create volume; don’t use more than that unless you have a lot of hair as it’ll leave a bit of a greasy film. I found my hair got greasy more quickly after using this, but it does give great volume and made hair look and feel a lot thicker. It’s a great budget volumising mousse than can be found here – link – for £6.
Next up is my favourite of the two products, which is the Rock’n’Roll Extreme Hairspray. I’m using this quite a bit lately as it gives really good hold to up dos, but it’s also handy for adding a bit of texture to a ‘too neat’ blow dry. It smells good, sets hair in place and doesn’t leave a residue. I also really like the packaging! It’s £6 here – link. Boots have a 3for2 on across Haircare at the moment so you could pick up these two and add a third (dry shampoo!) for free.
