Sometimes I come across a product that is so fantastically well executed that everything about it is a joy; with that in mind, let me introduce you to the perfumes from Valeur Absolue, which are as pretty to look at as they are to sniff.
The perfume bottle is a pretty traditional, slightly squared off shape so nothing too fancy there, but inside the clear glass you’ll find lots of little jewels that have been chosen to match and reflect the notes of the contained perfume. The scent I have is Sensualite which is a feminine, floral and slightly fruity scent. It’s absolutely gorgeous and perfect for Spring – I’m really pleased I picked this one to review over the other two.
The notes for Sensualite are bergamot and white pepper at the top, jasmine and rose at the heart and cedar, amber and musk at the base. You think such such peppery and woody notes would give a more masculine finish, but this is a really feminine and pretty fragrance that sits just on the right side of sexy. I’m reaching for this the most at the moment and using it is such a visual pleasure due to the pretty little stones housed within the bottle. Absolutely lovely and well worth investigating further, especially as Mother’s Day is just around the corner. Valeur Absolue’s Sensualite starts at £59 for 45ml here – link.
