Recently Caudalie have reinvented their mask collection into a sort of mask wardrobe which is right up my street; there are four masks in the collection, each of which can be paired with another from the four to make a bespoke home facial. As someone who loves to use several masks in one sitting, I found this approach very attractive.
I’ve been trying out two masks from the range, the Purifying Mask – more on that soon – and the one I’m posting about today, the Glycolic Peel. As the name suggests, the mask is an acid-based exfoliating treatment designed to boost and rejuvenate skin. I was surprised how creamy it was and there was only the hint of a tingle during application making this a great choice for those who can be a little sensitive, but obviously if you’re unsure then make sure to patch test first.
I was so, so impressed with this mask which left my skin feeling seriously smooth and appearing much clearer without stripping it of oil or moisture, so skin had a plump appearance rather than an overly exfoliated look. The fact that it takes just ten minutes to use makes it ideal for a quick skincare boost and it’s recommended to be used twice a week. It’s also not too expensive at £22 for 75ml here – link.
