Two months in a row! As you may well remember from last month’s post, I hadn’t done a monthly love list for quite some time, but there’s a lot to love at the moment so I happily put together my five favourites for the month of April, although I am a little late in publishing it. So without further ado (etc, etc) here’s a look at my rather skincare-heavy love list for April:
First up is the infamous Serozinc, which I’ve been gagging to try for quite a while, with my finger hovering over the “buy” button on eBay on and off for the past couple of years. Finally it’s here, in the UK, and I’ve been using it for a few weeks. It’s one of those products that’s ideal for tricky skin; if you’re spot-prone but don’t like to use anything too hardcore or OTT then this is well worth a try as it feels almost like a barrier product. I’ll explain what I mean further in a future post, but it’s safe to say it’s become a staple in both my morning and evening skincare routine. You can find it here – link.
I raved about the He-Shi tanning brand in my post here, with one of my favourites from the brand being the Overnight Ageless Tanning Balm. Since writing the post, I’ve become really into the scrub from the brand and I’ve also used the rapid tanner which is another firm favourite. I this this overnight face balm changed the way I viewed sunless tanning and got me fully into trying other products and learning how to home tan, so it deserves it’s place in my love list. You can find it here – link.
The Active Day Face Cream from the recently launched LloydsPharmacy SkinEffect range is just brilliant and my skin absolutely loves it. It’s rich enough to feel nourishing and almost balm-like, yet it hasn’t caused me any spots and instead leaves my skin feeling really hydrated, smooth and soft. I use generous scoops of this every morning and evening and I’m already about half way through my pot, but as it’s less than a tenner, it’s safe to say I’ll definitely be repurchasing from here – link.
The equally lovely and nourishing Vichy BB Tinted Velvety Cream is another star in my skincare-to-makeup routine as it not only provides an SPF50, it’s also skin-enhancing, glow-giving and a brilliant primer too. I won’t bang on about it as I’ve already reviewed it here, but you can pick up your own tube here – link.
Finally, another skincare/make-up hybrid from Clarins, in the form of their Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors, which give you the perfect summer pout; sheeny, natural, flattering and pretty, every summer make-up bag should contain a couple of these. I’ve already reviewed three of them here including my favourite Coral shade, and you can pick them up yourself here – link.

I’m with you on Serozinc. My skin is very sensitive and prone to the odd spot. It’s much better behaved since using this in the mornings- I actually like the refreshing mist. I’m not sure if I am imagining it or if my make up lasts a bit better or not too…
It’s awesome isn’t it? I don’t think there’s anything else quite like it either xx
