I’ve been a fan of Childs Farm products for quite a while and actually used quite a few of them on Teddy before I was sent the above trio. Childs Farm is a very well priced and accessible (they’re stocked at Boots) range of products designed to be extremely gentle to young skin, but not limited to babies and can in fact be used by the whole family.
The range contains mostly washes and hydrators, plus a very nice nappy balm. The Hand and Body Lotion is a fresh and zingy lotion that contains grapefruit and tea tree oil. I’ve been using this on Teddy’s feet by giving him a little foot rub before bed, and it’s perfect for this as it’s nice and hydrating, yet it soaks in without a trace, so if your child doesn’t like the feel of product on their skin then this is a great choice. The Hair and Body Wash is another gentle product, that’s lightly foaming and nicely scented. Teddy went through a phase of water phobia (thankfully it’s now sorted – if anyone has a similar problem and would like me to write-up how we got over it, let me know!) which meant I had to get the product on and off really quickly, which thankfully was achievable with this – it washes off easily and doesn’t continue to sud-up, which is very helpful. Finally, the Nappy Cream which is great, every day barrier product for keeping rashes at bay. It’s a gel-cream that’s quite fluid, so a little goes a long way so it’s a handy everyday product. I tend to use something a little stronger and thicker at night when I know Teddy is likely to have a nappy on for 12+ hours, but during waking hours this works as an effective barrier product that keeps his bum soft and rash free. I’ve also used it on eczema flair-ups that he’s had on his leg and it worked a treat – literally, applied it in the evening and by the morning it was gone, so this is a handy product to have in the house. It’s £3.85 here – link.
