The Gosh Foundation Drops are insanely good. I first posted about them here, but I’ve decided to do a full review since I am using them so often. Start off with the negatives, which is the limited shade range (five in total, mostly in the lighter spectrum) and the rather pointless inclusion of an SPF10, but other than that, these are a brilliant, brilliant offering from Gosh.
I tend to apply a smudge of around 3 drops all over the place before buffing that in, and then adding a little more in areas that would benefit from additional coverage. This blends like an absolute dream, so you’re not left with streaks or smears, and as you can see from the before and after images, the coverage is a solid medium that can be built to a higher coverage finish.
Often this sort of coverage comes with a matte, flat or mask-like finish, but the Gosh Foundation Drops give a lightly dewy and luminous finish that is just so flattering. It’s also very natural and comfortable to wear. There’s so little to complain about with this great foundation offering from Gosh; it’s easy to apply, blends like a dream, gives a great coverage and a lovely finish, so what’s not to love?
The swatches are 002 Ivory and 004 Natural. 002 Ivory is a great match for me, so it should hopefully be a good match for other pale girls, especially as it’s only slightly yellow, so that should prove for a flattering match on most pale tones. I can’t rave about this enough – it easily rivals much more expensive competitors – and I’ll be replenishing my stock when I run dry. It’s £12.99 here – link.

Hi Sascha, this is twice this week I have come across GOSH as a brand, thanks for sharing this really helpful.

No probs, thanks Nicci! They have some truly fantastic products; on top of this foundation, I also really rate their crayon shadows and matte lippies.
This looks really good and I will definitely be checking it out. There are not many of these type of foundations that I’ve have really liked apart from Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude and Laura Mercier’s Smooth Finish
This easily rivals some of the more expensive ones – I’ve tried similar, serum-type foundations from Kevyn Aucoin and Giorgio Armani, but this is my favourite, which is great as it’s much cheaper than the other two!
I love foundations like this. Thank you for the review! It does look lovely and has a very pretty finish. I must check this out asap!
No probs Melissa, it is a very impressive foundation so well worth trying!
This reminds me so much of the new Smashbox bb water foundation that is launching soon but of course much more affordable

Ooo I’ll definitely be trying that – the latest Smashbox releases are fantastic!
The thing about this Gosh one is that it doesn’t streak; I’ve found a lot of these types of foundations can look really streaky and you have to buff them in so heavily that you end up almost removing it all completely!
It looks so good and natural on you! Definitely worth checking out.
Thanks lovely! It is a brilliant, brilliant base xx
Hi do you use a primer under it? Also do you apply with a brush, sponge or fingers? Ta! ^_^
I tend to just apply it to a well moisturised face – I don’t think you need a primer at all and I think it would apply really well a brush, or sponge, or fingers! I use a brush but that’s because I use a brush to apply everything 🙂
