The August 2015 Look Fantastic box is packed full of great goodies, with something for everyone! I love the fact that there’s something for everyone, whether you’re into skincare, makeup or haircare, you should find something to love out of the six included products.
The Look Fantastic August 2015 box is my first from the brand, and it’s safe to say it’s an impressive introduction. As with all my beauty box reviews, here’s a look at the contents in order of my particular favourites:
To start off we have a cleanser and a toner, both from luxury brands – how fab is that? The cleanser is the infamous Eve Lom Cleanser that comes in a generous 30ml tub and a muslin cloth. I’ve used this before (here’s my review from aaaages ago) so I know already just how fab it is, and I think it’s great to have it included in a beauty box. The toner is a teeny, tiny vial of the Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist, which is another product I already have in my regular use stash. I have such a soft spot for Omorovicza as I’ve loved their luxury, indulgent products for years, so I’m happy to see them include something in a beauty box. The only downside is that the vial is very small – three uses at most, if you spray at the rate I do – but it’s certainly enough to give you an idea of whether you’d enjoy purchasing the full product or not.
The new Rimmel Wonder’full Wake Me Up Mascara is another great inclusion, as it’s a bit of a “BB Mascara” since it provides a multitude of benefits alongside the more traditional mascara role of defining lashes. I’m looking forward to trying it so I’ll report back on how I get on. Are we going through a 1-in-1 haircare phase now? As they seem to be popping up everywhere I look! Out of the two included in the August 2015 Look Fantastic box, the one I’m most keen to get stuck into is the Beauty Works 10-in-1 Miracle Spray, which appears to mostly offer frizz-taming and hydration, all in a lightweight spray. The box includes a generous 50ml which is more than enough for a good few uses.
I love makeup inclusions in beauty boxes, however, the Bellapierre Shimmer Powder is low down on my list because I struggle with loose powders in my current living situation – I have no level surface to do my makeup (it all gets applied from a bag on my bed!) and highly-shimmery, loose powders make me very nervous! Having said that, I’ve just been on the Bellapierre site and they have an impressive colour collection, so I will check them out in the near future. Finally, the Alterna Caviar CC Cream is another 10-in-1 hair product that promises all sorts of hair care functions. I’m not really one for using frizz-fighters as frizz isn’t often an issue for me, plus this is quite a thick cream so that’s what it’s last on my list, as I’m unlikely to find a use for it. There we have it! A lovely edit of products from the August 2015 Look Fantastic box. Find out more about the subscription offers here – link.
