Ahhhh the joy of an iconic Benefit Box O’Powder. What is it about them that makes them so exciting? I’m thinking it’s a mix of the bright and fun, treasure-trove style packaging, and the promise of something gorgeous, flattering and joyful inside. I’ve had a few Benefit box blushers over the years, but I was recently introduced to Dallas, which is a lightly shimmery, warm, pinky-bronze shade that would kind of work as a blusher for some skin tones, but I think is best suited for an all-over brightener; kind of a hybrid of highlighter and bronzer.
Thankfully Dallas doesn’t contain any glitter, instead providing light shimmer that adds a lovely warm glow. The shade is the sort of colour that, if applied lightly, just warms up skin rather that add any colour, making this ideal for low maintenance/quick application looks. It’s a great boost of warmth that really lifts skin, and I think it’ll really come into its own in the winter months when I wake up looking pale, pasty and in need of a helping hand from something quick and easy to apply. Benefit Dallas is £23.50 here – link.

I think Benefit’s powders are so beautiful, yet I only own Hoola. I have medium/light foundation- do you think this powder would work for me? For some reason, I am most drawn to this one even thought I have no clue if it’s right for me!

They are gorgeous aren’t they?
I think Dallas is a pretty good all-rounder that’d work on most skin tones. If you know the shade of one of your foundations, try Googling it alongside the words “Benefit Dallas” to bring up some reviews/swatches with the same skin shade as you. I think you’ll find it’s great on all skin types, either as a general booster or a blusher for darker skin tones xx
This was one was a bit meh for me i didnt get that much pigment from it to be honest

Oh that’s a shame! I think the lack of pigment is probably what makes it work for me, as it gives a touch of colour and warmth rather than anything too in-your-face xx
