A little while ago I was sent a selection of some of the amazing Tarte products available on QVC, so over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing some of them to give you an idea of what the brand has to offer. Tarte are absolutely massive in America, but have only recently arrived in the UK (around 18 months ago) and as they’re only currently available on QVC, there are still many beauty lovers who aren’t familiar with them. If you’re one of these people then you need to change this as Tarte as just incredible; exciting formulas, brilliant colours and generally innovative products.
The Tarte 4 Piece Miracles of the Amazon Collection is one of those sets that you see and you immediately want. You get everything you need to create several looks; a palette containing six eyeshadows and a blusher, a mascara, a lipgloss and a double-ended brush, all of which are housed in a matching cosmetics bag. The packaging on everything other than the brush is a very pretty mosaic style in various shades of purple. How amazing would this be as a gift?
The brilliantly sturdy palette contains a good sized mirror, and the shades on the left are a little plumy leaning, whilst the ones on the right are more neutral. The shades on the left are Pink Beyond (pink champagne), Taupe for the Best (warm, sparkly taupe) and Dreams Plum True (deep plum). On the right you have Out of this Pearl (sparkly wheat), Thistle be the Day (matte, mid taupe) and Paint the Brown (deep, matte brown). The blusher shade is Talented, a mid raspberry and the Lipsurgence Liquid Lip Shine is in the shade Exquisite, a deep, brown-leaning mauve.
As you’d expect, the palette is the star of the collection as the shades are just phenomenal! The blusher is the sort of colour I’d never normally go for, but I really like it! I’m not a huge fan of the Lipsurgence colour, although I can see why it was included as it works really well with the other shades in the set, but it’s just not the sort of shade I like. As is the case with all Tarte mascaras, the one included in this set – the Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara – is just fantastic. In the picture above, everything is Tarte – brows, base and all the above products, most of which I’ll be posting about soon. On the eyes I’ve quite simply used Thistle be the Day all over the lid, Paint the Brown in the outer corners and Out of this Pearl in the centre. The best bit about the Tarte 4 Piece Miracles of the Amazon Collection is that the whole lot is £34, which is an insanely good price – I would pay that for the palette alone, so you’re getting a great deal.
