Here we have possibly the most French fragrance I have ever seen and smelled in my life – it is French in every way possible and it’s glorious! I don’t know why, but I wasn’t expecting to like Eisenberg Paris I Am – I think I based my judgement on it’s cover (which is something you really shouldn’t do, according to the old adage) which is quite fancy, a little quaint, and it has an almost vintage vibe about it. Consequently, I expected a sharp, old-fashioned fragrance which is absolutely nothing like what this is.
Eisenberg Paris I Am is a light yet sexy and feminine scent with just enough notes to make it full and vibrant, without overdoing it. The top notes are bright and fruity with Bergamot, Orange and Raspberry. At the heart there’s Magnolia, Black Pepper and Vetiver and at the base there’s Sandalwood, Amber and Musk. The final few notes make it sound like it’s going to be quite pungent and earthy, but surprisingly the scent stays quite like, making it an ideal day fragrance.
The box is very pretty, with the vintage imagery and clear breakdown of the fragrance. The bottle itself is plain but appealing, although those who like to spend a good wad on fragrance and ensure it’s clear with the packaging might be disappointed. I love this scent – and I’m especially excited to finally find a scent that doesn’t lead with, or even contain, Jasmine! This is pretty, girly, bright and cheerful without being over the top, sickly or too in your face. I heart it muchly and I will be getting my sniff on with the other fragrances in the Eisenberg Paris range to see what other gems I can find. The pictured 50ml bottle of Eisenberg Paris I Am is £66, plus there’s currently 10% off at Boots here – link.
