Just a couple of days left until the day has arrived, so here are some ideas on little gift sets that you should still be able to snap-up, or should, at the very least, give you some inspiration to grab something similar. These are all nice and small, so would all work as stocking fillers, either as whole sets, or broken down to individual items. There’s a bit of everything from some great make-up and skincare to fragrance, so hopefully you’ll see something you like!
I have to kick off with something lovely from one of my favourite brands, so here we have the Clinique Chubby, Chubbier, Chubbiest gift set that contains three of the amazing Chubby lip crayons. You get the original in Super Strawberry, Intense in Mightiest Maraschino and Baby in Budding Blossom, so it’s a fab selection of shades for the brilliant price of £17. Predictably, you can’t find this anywhere online, but you might get lucky in-store, however, they have some incredible gift sets for colour and skincare fans, so if you’re buying for a Clinique devotee, or need to stock-up yourself, head to your nearest Clinique counter ASAP to take advantage of the money-saving gift sets. You can see some of the gift sets online here – link.
For those who are particularly tricky to buy for, something lovely from Crabtree & Evelyn is the way to go. Their Hand Therapy Trios are especially lovely and very good value, or if you fancy spending a little more (or need some stocking fillers) then there are sets of six available too. At the moment, all gift sets seem to be discounted online, so hopefully the same will apply in-store too. The trios are just £7.50 at the moment, and the sets of six are just £13.20 too. Check out the full collection here – link.
The Claudia Winkleman collection recently landed in Marks and Spencer, and it isn’t half as cheesy as you might expect! I personally really like Claudia – I think she’s just the right side of odd (eccentric?) which I love, plus her approach to beauty is fun, casual and easy, which comes across in her collection. She’s started with a collection of gift sets (one of which contains a pack of Percy Pigs – HELLO!) to suit all budgets and tastes, such as the above Get it On…Get it Off Nail Set, which contains a trio of nail colours alongside some remover wipes, currently on special for a fiver! Check out the full collection here – link.
Jane Iredale is a fantastic range of mineral make-up, so this Starter Set is the perfect present for anyone who would benefit from an intro to this brilliant brand. Unfortunately the shade range is a little limited (you get two foundations in the set) but this might just be an online problem, so if you go in-store (as a general rule, anyone who stocks Environ will likely stock Jane Iredale too) you should hopefully be able to get a better shade selection. Have a look at what’s included in the set, which is currently just under £32 here – link.
Another brand that’s great for those who are tricky to buy for is Molton Brown, who really do have a knock-out Christmas collection this year, with something for every budget from the very high to the relatively low. The above Cruise Collection is a good idea of the sort of sets available, with this one contains the Pink Pepperpod Body Wash and Body Cream alongside the White Sandalwood Body Wash and Body Cream, all of which are decent-sized 100mls for around the £30 point. The Cruise Collection doesn’t seem to be available online (but it might still be in-store), but it you have time for a good browsing session, check out the full Christmas collection here – link.
What beauty-lover wouldn’t be thrilled with a little something from Nails Inc to start Christmas Day with? There are some fab sets available, with my favourite being the Luxury Trios that you can get online in various colour themes, or you can pop along to a Nails Inc store at Harvey Nichols where you can pick three polishes (such as the ones pictured above which contain the cult Snowglobe polish) and get the caps monogrammed with the initials of the receiver! I love this idea, I think everyone loves getting something that’s been personalised and if they’re into their nails, they’ll be thrilled to receive such a set. You can see some of the trios online alongside the rest of the Christmas Collection here – link. Nails Inc do a next day delivery service, so if you won’t be able to get in to a store, you can still order online in time.
I think it’s quite easy to overlook skincare when buying for someone, especially as it’s such a personal thing – if you’re buying for someone who has tricky skin, you don’t really want to present them with an acne kit unless you know them very, very well! However, the New Year is the time for resolutions when people start trying to develop new habits, and for many, this could mean attempting a healthier skincare routine, so cue a Dermalogica Skincare Set! I cannot find the one above anywhere online as I think it might’ve been a freebie that wasn’t sold, but Dermalogica do a lot of skincare sets for every type of skin problem (including a shaving kit for the boys) all of which you can view here – link.
I want pretty much everything the Miller Harris store, but there is something about a lovely trio that works for me, so the Miller Harris Fruit Fragrance Set is absolutely lovely. However, if you’re not a fruit fan, there are other options available (I want the floral one!) and there’s also smaller fragrance sample sets, minis, candles and full-sized fragrances available too, all of which can be viewed at the Miller Harris store here – link – as well as found in-store too.
Finishing the same way I started – with a tremendous make-up bang – here’s the beautiful Kiko Innocent Desire Lipgloss Set, which contains three glorious shades of these extra-shiny lipgloss sticks, presented in a pretty red snap-close purse, currently reduced to just over £11. Kiko is amazing, as are the Christmas releases which make up the Cosmic Starlets collection, a humongous range of gorgeous gifts with literally something for every kind of beauty lover.
