I love a good beauty box and I love featuring them on here, but it has been a while since I’ve had my socks knocked off by any of the recent new arrivals…until now! Please accept my apologies for the blurry photographs – I was clearly too excited when taking them! I quickly dismissed the new Powder Beauty Drawer as ‘yet another beauty box’, yet my feelings quickly changed when I opened up the box and saw what was inside…For context, let’s keep in mind that the entire box, postage ‘n’ all, is £35, so with that in mind, here’s what you get:
I mean really! Would you just look at all those beautiful beauty goodies? We’re talking Alpha-H, Caudalie, Benefit, St Tropez, L’Oreal, Sanctuary Spa, Merumaya, with mostly either full-sized products or very generous sample sizes (apart from the teeny, tiny Benefit Porefessional sample) and they all come presented in a, quite frankly, genius drawer-style box that you’d want to keep as you can stack them all up and start creating your own beauty storage units. If that isn’t enough, each box is also personalised – you fill in a questionnaire at sign-up – so everything has been carefully considered with a resulting star of a box that I am so impressed with! Let’s have a closer look at what I got in my Powder Beauty Drawer:
To make things easier, I’ve broken it all down into three categories; skincare, haircare and other. Starting with haircare, I got the Tresemme 7 Day Smooth Shampoo and matching conditioner in generous sample sizes; I’m always moaning about how annoying it is to get either a shampoo or a conditioner in a beauty box as I really think you need both – they comes as pair, people! Next is the L’Oreal Professional Dual Stylers, of which you’ll get one of three depending on your hair type. I got the Bouncy & Tender, the other two are either Liss & Pump-Up or Sleek and Swing. The final hair product is the L’Oreal Professional Infinium Extra Strong Hairspray, of which there was a great big bottle – so you get everything you need to completely overhaul your hair routine, from start to finish.
I’m saving the best ’til last with skincare, so let’s look at the ‘other’ section which includes the St Tropez Gradual Tan in Shower Lotion, a product that’s been causing waves in the beauty industry due to the fact that you literally fake tan as you shower; it’s either full-sized or a very decent sample size at 50ml. Next there’s a full-sized Rimmel 24H Supercurler Mascara which is apparently amazing at achieving lash curl, so I will be trying this soon. The final product is probably the only one I’m a bit disappointed in, which is the tiniest tube of Benefit Porefessional. I love Benefit and I love Porefessional, so my disappointment is no reflection on the product itself, just the fact that it’s so tiny, which is particularly obvious alongside so many larger products in the Powder Beauty Drawer.
Now on to the most exciting category of all, which is the unbelievably impressive line-up of skincare – all seven products! First up, the one I’m extremely happy to get is the Alpha-H Liquid Gold. I used this years ago and I remember loving it then, so every so often I think that I really must pick up another bottle, therefore I couldn’t be happier to have this to play with again! You get 50ml (sample, decent-sized) and I’ve used it a couple of times since the box arrived and I’ve fallen quickly back in love. The next product I was thrilled to get is the The Sanctuary Spa Warming Detox Charcoal Wash, as it sounds so brilliant…and it is! I love masks more than any other skincare item, but cleansers come in a close second; this warming, charcoal number is ideal for tricky skin that’s prone to dryness as it’s gentle and deep cleansing. I’ll aim to review it in more detail soon. The Merumaya product is personalised depending on what you answered in your questionnaire – I received the Iconic Youth Serum, but the other options are the Youth Preservation Moisturiser SPF15, or my personal favourite, the Overnight Recharge Night Cream. I think these are full-sized, although they might be very generous samples, but I’m leaning towards the former. I really trust Merumaya products so I’m thrilled to see them included in this amazing box of goodies. More cleanser joy comes in the form of the Balance Me Restore and Replenish Cream Cleanser, a product full of skin-loving ingredients that can be used as either a wash-off or cream cleanser. The last personalised item is something from the fabulous Starskin Bio-Cellulose Second Skin mask range, which appears to be everywhere at the mo! There are four options – Close Up Firming, Behind the Scenes Balancing, After Party Brightening or Red Carpet Ready Hydrating. I got the After Party one, but I do have a few of these in my kit so I’ll aim to do a more full feature soon. The final two products are from Caudalie, starting with the Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Eye & Lip Cream and the Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. Both the products are dinky little samples, but there’s certainly enough product to give you an idea of whether you fancy investing in the full-sized ones.
I am so impressed (can you tell…?) with the Power Beauty Drawer and I cannot wait to see what’s included in the next one. I’m not sure of the details regarding regularity of new boxes, but if this one is anything to go by then they need to do them as often as possible! As mentioned, this is £35 all-in (the product value is £113) and you can find it here – link.

That does sound amazing value for a beauty box! And a great selection of goods!
It’s phenomenal! So, so good – I really hope they bring out another one soon!
